Sally is the granddaughter of the company founder, Mrs. Irene Welborn Herrington. She began helping her grandmother at Welborn Floral Company at the age of 5 years old, during the Christmas Open House season and continued to do so every holiday thereafter. Now, as the owner of the company, Sally continues her grandmother's legacy serving Owensboro and the Tri-State Community.
After majoring in Art and Design in college, Sally spent two years in Atlanta, GA designing for EventScapes, a large-scale wedding and corporate event design company, whose clients included Coca-Cola, Home Depot, Americasmart and Sony. In 2003 she returned to Welborn Floral Company with the knowledge and experience she gained in Atlanta, which led to the creation of our events division. She has designed multiple events for the Kentucky Derby, the World Equestrian Games, the Deaconess Foundation and more. Sally brought with her a contemporary, creative vision for the future of the wedding and events industry in Owensboro and the surrounding area.

Kathryn brings an amazing wealth of knowledge and over 25 years of experience to the Welborn Floral and Events team. She began her career as a Wedding Planner and completed certification with the American Bridal Association. Kathryn's expertise shows in her passion for your vision, starting with your wedding invitation design and wording, your color palette choices and floral selections and design. Her eye for detail and love for each client shine through as she works with you from the first meeting until the moment your big day arrives.
